When I was in high school I played soccer as a goalkeeper and was fortunate enough to be able to become a goalkeeper at the collegiate level at Grace College. There I studied Exercise Science. I am a son of two really great parents and I have an older brother and younger sister. I also have an Olde English Bulldog named Titan. My guilty pleasure meal has to be Papa John’s pepperoni pizza and a pint of Ben and Jerry’s Cherry Garcia ice cream. I really like the movie Top Gun. Many people don’t realize that I am deaf in my left ear, so if I say “what?” a lot, that’s why! I also love to paddle board on the lake, golf, and go on hikes.

I really enjoy CrossFit, but it’s not all easy for me. A couple of movements that I struggle with at the box are handstand pushups and thrusters, but I’m working on them and improving day by day. What helps me stay motivated with my own physical goals is becoming the best version of myself that I can be. I want to push myself beyond limits to see how much I am capable of!

Coaching is a great fit for me, because I believe that we are put on this earth to help people. It is so rewarding for me to see others become more healthy and fit! I love seeing the “lightbulb” moment when something finally clicks for someone. If you’re wondering whether or not CrossFit is a good fit for you, I’d encourage you to try it. CrossFit is for anyone who is willing to put forth the effort and try it! The hardest part is walking through the door.
